Hello there!
My name is Lara Baakliny. I’m the first dietitian to start the Ketogenic lifestyle in Lebanon and am so excited to welcome you on this journey! I am also a registered dietitian, nutritional therapist, sports nutritionist, and personal fitness trainer.
Being a Nutritional Therapist allowed me to teach patients how to use food to control illnesses symptoms and improve their quality of life. I quickly realized that my greatest passion is changing people’s lives regardless of their ideal body weight and shape. I love assisting others in feeling better and embracing the benefits of mental and physical wellbeing. It’s all about encouraging people to love themselves, heal, reverse diseases and enjoy life!
As my intention to help others grew stronger, I started studying Biodecoding online at Ecole de Biodécodage Française de Christian Flèche, and am currently completing my third and final year. Biodecoding is the process of decoding all the emotions of the body to help people heal both body and soul. It heals a person psychologically by addressing the emotions that are behind the symptoms of a certain disease.
I believe everyone can feel more energetic by incorporating healthy yet tasty fulfilling food, and a moderately enjoyable exercise routine into their busy schedules. Trust me, it’s a very pleasant journey, and hey, I’m here to help you out!Â

My Personal Story
For years, I thought I was eating healthy. Oatmeal and whole wheat toasts for breakfast, a smoothie at lunch, a little fruit after dinner. But despite all that “healthy” eating, I was exhausted, breaking out, and my hormones were all over the place. I also started to gain weight, which was frustrating because I felt like I was doing everything right. Eventually, I was diagnosed with PCOS and acne. I felt betrayed by my own body.
Doctors gave me pills and told me to “eat balanced meals.” But something inside me said there’s more to this. So I started researching. I learned that every time I reached for something sweet—even so-called healthy sugar—my insulin spiked, my hormones crashed, and inflammation took over. That constant rollercoaster was what kept me tired, craving more, and gaining weight.
I discovered the power of a ketogenic lifestyle and how it could transform my health. By focusing on real, whole foods and eliminating sugars and grains, I was able to balance my hormones, clear my skin, and regain my energy. To my surprise, I also started losing weight easily, which was the opposite of what happened with my previous “healthy” diet. Keto made me change my whole life. I’ve been on keto for 12 years now and have never felt better.
